Training formats
You can choose between open courses, in-company training, training via partners and tailor-made training. Subsidies are available for a large share of our courses. You will find more information further down this page.
Open training courses
These open training courses take place at our office in Sint-Denijs-Westrem or at an external venue. You will find the open training courses for the coming months in the calendar above. Sign up now!
In-company training
In-house training courses have already been developed and can be scheduled for a group of employees. This is a cost-effective option, as several employees can take part at once, and there is plenty of room for specific questions. This brochure gives an overview of our in-company training courses.
Training through partners
With 25 years of experience in the food and feed sector, our consultants are true experts. Combined with intensive training in their own specialisms, this is why many sector partners trust us to deliver relevant training courses. Discover our partners' training offer.
Tailor-made training
Would you rather have a training course fully tailored to your company? We can arrange that too! We develop the perfect course to match your organisation's needs and wishes. Contact us for more information.
Training subsidies

Alimento focuses on the Belgian food industry. Its services apply to employees covered by Joint Committees 118 (manual workers in the food industry) and 220 (white-collar staff in the food industry). Our Alimento recognition offers many advantages for our clients in the food industry. For example, a subsidy of €225 per half-day session is available for in-company training courses.

For white-collar staff employed under Joint Committee 226 (white-collar staff in international trade, transport and logistics), you can apply to the LOGOS training fund for a subsidy for our training courses. See the LOGOS website for the regulations. For more information, contact subsidies@logosinform.be or call 03 221 97 36.

VIVO distributes the training budget that childcare services and out-of-school care initiatives (IBO) can also use (Joint Committee 331). Training costs can be reimbursed if they meet VIVO's conditions. You will find more information on the VIVO website.
Frequently asked questions about food safety and quality training
What types of training does AMNorman offer?
From basic HACCP courses and tailor-made training on specific standards (BRCGS, IFS, FSSC 22000, ISO) to train-the-trainer sessions for internal quality staff and awareness sessions on food safety culture for production staff. The content is always tailored to your sector and the certification scheme you choose.
Are the courses held on site or online?
Both are possible. We prefer to deliver practical courses on site, so that we can connect with your own processes and installations. More general or theoretical modules can also be organised online. We agree this with you based on your needs.
Who are these courses for?
From production staff and team leaders to quality managers and management: the content, level and pace are adapted to the target group and their role within the food safety system.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes, participants receive a certificate of participation afterwards. It is also useful evidence during a certification audit, where auditors often ask for staff training records.
Where do the open courses take place?
Open courses take place at our office in Sint-Denijs-Westrem or at an external venue, for example in Antwerp, Brussels or Leuven. The exact location and date are listed per course in the calendar on this page.
What is the difference between an open and an in-company course?
An open course is a fixed session that you can register for individually. An in-company training has already been developed and is scheduled for a group of employees from your own company, with room for specific questions. If you want a course designed entirely around your organisation, we build it together with you.
Are there subsidies for training?
That depends on the joint committee of your employees. For the food industry (joint committees 118 and 220), an Alimento subsidy is possible for in-company training. White-collar staff under joint committee 226 can submit an application to the training fund LOGOS, and joint committee 331 to VIVO. Always check the current conditions and amounts with the fund concerned.
How do I register for a course?
Choose a course in the calendar on this page and register via the page of that course. For in-company or tailor-made training, get in touch via Let’s meet.
